Apparently this theme shows x's with internet explorer. There are other themes available that will not. See the post in the suggestion area for changing your theme.

Is this still being worked on? I have red x's all over :(

I know I know, come to a new site and post a problem straight away...shame on me.

You are using the SMF Default theme, have you tried one of the other themes? Then too I have not had this problem since I use FireFox.

Try another theme Elena. I believe it's an internet explorer thing. With Firefox it doesn't happen.

I use a Macintosh with Safari as a browser. I didn't get any red x's, but I did get blue boxes with question marks. I changed my theme to "Spree" and it's been working out just fine! Light background, black text with maroon headings. I like it!

This theme also works on my PC laptop (it's using IE).

I hope everyone's finding the theme that works best for them!
