I seem to be getting lots of little squares with red "x's" and non displaying buttons, etc. I've tried to see the page both on IE7 and Google Chrome, nope, both have the same problem.
I had no probles with the previous theme.

There are red exes anywhere where the should be a button.
Also, I see the little "paper with circle, diamond, sphere" where an image should be.

If this only works well on Firefox, that makes it pretty limited, no?

I'm already running Google Chrome, which I love, and IE7 which my mail server loves. One more?

Yep, red "x"'s on all buttons for me, too.  Thought it was just me but it's nice to see I'm not alone!  Thanks for checking into it, Kev.

No hand slapping, you've been putting in a lot here. Love the look and the contrast between the background and font. Now if I could only see the buttons I'd be a happy camper!

Thanks Kev!

I, also, thought it was just this dumb computer which likes to do things like that. Both IE7 and AOL browsers have the red X.
(I'll have to take back everything iIsaid about this machine. - well, maybe not EVERYTHING.)

Personally, because I'm optically challenged, I prefer the SMF Default Theme to the Default Forum Theme. Don't get me wrong, the Forum Default Theme is a nice theme, however, I find it much easier to read Dark Text on a Light Background, not a Light Text on a Dark Background.

And as they say "To each their own".

I also noted that the SMF Default Theme does not have the red x syndrome in IE.

Nope!  Works for me, no red x.

I'm having Bailey's diluted with leftover egg nog.  It might be the solution.

Ok, now the red x's are gone for me but I still have the squares with the circle diamond sphere. It's the buttons that are under the search line, (HOME,HELP,SEARCH,PROFILE,CALENDAR,LOGOUT) buttons, and a few more around the page, but these must be all tied in.

It's 8:18 PM and I have the red X's on the buttons and there isn't enough contrast between the background and the text.  It's very hard to read.  And I agree that dark text on light background is easier on the eyes.
