I'm not insisting, Steve, I'm trying to learn.  I went to Warm Glass and couldn't find anything that explained the difference in striking and oxidizing.  If you know, please tell me.

nope, not yet.  After I broke the last bowl because I didn't anneal it long enough I put some one layer goodies in the kiln - I knew I wouldn't screw them up!! Will finish them now then try the nuggets again.

The difference may have to do with a large body of salt water that separates the land mass.
I've always heard of changing glass color under heat as striking. Generally selenium colors strike

Another nugget option? ...mmmm! Pray tell! You mean in terms of making some? If so, is it like the bar idea...like the multi coloured ones I showed here earlier?

Nope...not sure when I'm going to eck that one out of my budget. LOL..going to have to find a place that has one that I can use up here if I want to get into fusing.
