The trees where a pain in the you know what...They are not put together as I wanted, but trying to get that wire to stay in place was very frustrating, so I had to arrange the triangles differently.

Hey Di...I used a large BBQ spatula to slide them onto it, then slid them off onto the kiln shelf....omg..it worked like a charm for pieces this size...they never shifted one bit and I did not tack any of them beforehand.

Here is the finished results.

The white lost all the iridization and there might be a bit of devit on the icicles (not real shiny), though not on the trees, which is ok in this application. I believe I held too long trying to get the frit to melt into the icicles..nothing ventured nothing gained. I'm not sure I like the dichco chips and would probably not use them again. If nothing else..it's fun to play. I'll add narrow blue satin ribbons to them. The snowflakes need a bit more refining as well.

Kev,

Those all came out really nice... I kind of like the snowflakes but the icicles are definitely the best...

Could you go back now and paint small "balls" on the trees so they have more color?

You can't see it very well, but what looks like little clear spots on the trees are dichro chips that change color. I don't like the trees well enough to go back and try to fuse them again..lol

Yes, they will look really nice on the Christmas tree.  I think the dicro might show up better on a darker glass - I used it last year on green trees.Maybe next time when you do the snowflakes try taking the diamonds in a bit, make the side a curve?? That would give you more space in between the glass Kev. I do like what you've done here.

The sides of the diamonds were curved Anne. I've developed a few more variations I'm going to try for the snowflakes as I am not too struck on these.
