Oh no!!  That's pretty sad...and it was going to be nice too!  How fast did you heat that baby up, my friend?

It is isn't it?  I think though the problem was in not letting it cool down slowly enough before washing it and putting it back in for the slump.  That's the price you pay when you're too darned impatient!  What a waste!

Yeah, it's hard to hold off when we just want to get that glass back in the kiln.  I'm sorry, Anne.

Anne...that would have been so pretty. I noticed it split right between the petals of the first row. So...do we think it was an annealing problem or a design problem? I really like the center of this one as well. that frit looked perfect..and loved the stringer too!

Oh, Anne, that is to bad.  The dish was going to be so pretty.  Is that something that can be fixed?

No Kev, it's not a designer problem.  I rushed it - put it back in for the slump without letting it cool enough. It 'hung on' to the top of the mold - and it could have been that the primer wasn't dry enough too! That's what you get for being impatient.  If I'd waited another hour I don't think I'd have had the problem.  My own fault.

No Joan, it's not fixable.  It caught on the top of the mold on both sides so the break is an oval, not straight.  Expensive lesson!
