This is the first ornament to be cut so far. I hope to fill Big Bertha with them and fire them all at once. I've used iridescent clear and white on these. I had debated doubling up on the clear, but have decided to try the single layer to keep the weight down...we will see how it goes.

Yes...she has not been fed in some time...so she will be one happy gal. This will be the biggest meal she has ever had when I get them all cut and fed to her.

When you cut the dichro that you just bought you can use your frit maker with the scrap and use it too on these Kev.

Because these are already iridized, I'll keep the dichroic frit for the xmas trees.

Which probably works the best but I just thought I'd give you another source for drill bits.  I was at the dentist yesterday and after I'd spent $483. I asked him if the drill bits he used were diamond bits.  I came home with about 10 of them.  Haven't had a chance to use them yet but they look the same as what I had bought from Delphi last year.  Just an fyi.

I don't know which Xmas trees Anne..I have not designed them yet. I'm thinking of just fusing 3 triangles together.

Way cool Kev, love them.

Anne, I used to have a bunch of dentist drills that I used on engraving. They worked great for that.  Usually the tip was pretty well run down, but because I used them at an angle, using the side edge rather than the tip they suited my needs.  hope they work well for you for drilling too

Today's progress.

I used iridized frit on the icicles. All the clear glass used is iridized . The Xmas trees are iridized white with Dichro chips on them. The snowflakes have 1 dichro chip in the center.
