We all love to share the pieces that turn out great, but what about the one, you know, the one that gets hide from view cause it just went so wrong. What is your story? Mine was a sorta plated iris in a glass of water. I thought I was such a hot shot 2 months into learning glass when I designed an iris to look like it was sitting in water. , I look at it in horror now that I really learned what it is supposed to look like. The outside pieces didn't line up and soldering was just the worst. Love the concept and have vowed I am gonna do the piece again, but to tell you the truth, I don't know where I put the first one.

Joan, It is not that bad for a first try. Sometimes the first try of an idea always comes out wrong. The first spoon flower I did came out horrible but I learned from it and adjusted the next.(no, I didnt take a pic of it and I took it apart) I think you should try it again.

Kev, I know who did the pattern LOL. Actually it is 2 patterns. Have to look for it and give it a try again. I had planned on doing a series of them.

I'm sure that I've made my fair share of "shameful" projects...like the time I made a bunch of butterfly garden stakes..and followed the advice in the book they came from about mounting them on a piece of zinc....lol....then I took them to a show...and they all drooped. UGH. I took them all out and put them under the table. Who wants a droopy garden ornament. LOL.

I guess the first leaded project I attempted which I quickly took apart when I melted the lead trying to solder it. For some strange reason I don't have a photo of that one.

Mine too. I had two lampshades that I finally took apart this spring. They were really awful!

I made a great angel in nasty looking colors. The colors seemed okay, until I soldered it and put it up to the window... well since it was well made , I donated it to Goodwill, so it is probably in someone's home!!
