This will be the second fan lamp I will be doing at the same time as the Birch lamp. It also will be fused with some painted detail added.

That symbol I placed there was jibberish...lol...it was just a scribble I put there to represent some writing I will place there.
It looks more like a Laddy's Slipper or orchid than an iris.

Just familiar with it, Mal.  I've spent alot of years in Japan and have a love of Asian design so I'm familiar with Kanji.  My sister-in-law is Japanese but I had nothing to do with that!  My bro picked her!
